After a long night out, I often find myself in the mirror scrubbing off mascara and eyeliner with toilet paper and a heavy duty, chemical filled, remover. Turns out this method, and even those handy dandy remover pads, are not at all good for my skin and certainly not good for the environment. But never fear, natural tips are here : ) I’m bringing you 5 natural ways to remove that stubborn eye makeup:
1) Olive Oil- Go grab it from your pantry, all you need is two drops! Great for sensitive skin types.
2) Coconut Oil- I also use this in my hair…does wonders! Pick up a big jar at the natural foods store and apply a little to your eyes (a little goes a long way). Mascara will come off very easily and it will leave your skin nice and soft.
3) Jojoba Oil- Can you say moisturizing? Dab on the eyes with a soft cloth and let sit for a minute before rinsing with warm water.
4) Baby Shampoo- Opt for a natural, no-sulfate shampoo to remove your eye makeup easily in the shower or bath.
5) Apple Cider Vinegar- Mix with water before applying to your eyes with a warm towel.
Have you utilized any of these tips? Let us know which ones are your personal favorites!
